These terms apply to your use of Quran Meaning Ladder ("the app"), provided by Light and Reason ("we", "us"). By using the app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
What the app is
The app is a free educational tool for learning Quranic Arabic vocabulary through short, step-by-step lessons. It is provided for personal, non-commercial learning.
Your use
- Use the app for your own learning.
- Do not try to break, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the app or its servers.
- Do not copy or redistribute the app's lessons and content for commercial use without our permission.
- Treat the Quranic content in the app with the respect it deserves.
Accounts
Signing in is optional and handled through Google. You are responsible for keeping your Google account secure. You can use the app as a guest without an account. How we handle your data is described in our Privacy Policy.
Children
Children under 13 may use the app only in child mode after a parent or legal guardian gives permission. Child mode disables Google sign-in and analytics, and progress is for the learner's own use. Parents can withdraw consent or request deletion as described in the Privacy Policy.
Accuracy and learning content
We work to make the lessons accurate and helpful, but the app is a learning aid, not a substitute for study with a qualified teacher. We describe word meanings through patterns and plain language, not formal Arabic grammar terms. We do not guarantee the content is free of errors.
Provided "as is"
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not promise the app will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Since the app is free, our total liability to you is limited to zero.
Changes
We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app means you accept the updated terms. We may also change or stop the app at any time.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
